I created this drawing after reading about the African Wild Dog. This animal has been on the endangered species list since 1990, and only about 6,600 of them remain today. They have become endangered due to habitat loss, and the fact that they now must cross high speed roads, resulting in them being hit by vehicles. They are also susceptible to many diseases, the most of which seems to be rabies. As we have taken over much of their home, it is our job as humans to help them survive. The African Wildlife Conservation Fund is a great way to donate towards helping these animals; I will donate 10% of the proceeds of this piece towards the African Wild Dog fund.
