Commission an Original

All prices above are for unframed pastel portraits. I create your portrait using a variety of pastel pencils and pastel sticks. Pastel portraits must be framed in order to protect them and make them last a lifetime.

I also offer custom sizes; for any options not listed above please contact me for pricing.

I also offer wildlife commissions; if there is an animal I have not listed in my store that you would like me to draw, I can do this instead of a pet!

Process of booking a Commission

1.) Email Me

Please send your commission inquiry to me at:

ashleyartanderson@yahoo.com

Here is all the information I will need from you in your email:

- Photo reference!

Send me either 1 or multiple photos of your pet via email. I would prefer to have multiple so that I can see some different angles and lighting of your pet! High quality photos are appreciated, but not absolutely necessary. I am able to create the details that cannot be seen if you only have a few low quality images. You will need to tell me which photo in particular that you want to be drawn. If you are unsure, I will give you my opinion on which will work best!

If you are commissioning a wildlife piece, simply let me know the animal and I will provide you with some reference photos to choose from, or you can provide me with your own reference.

- Order Details!

Let me know the size of the portrait you would like! I create portraits in the order that people purchase them; but if you need this commission for a certain date, please let me know and I will see what I can do. Let me know if you have a background color(s) in mind; otherwise, I suggest some colors as it gets closer to starting on your commission.

2.) Payment Process

After I have all of this information from you in your email, I can then let you know approximately when I can start on your commission. If you would like to move forward and secure the next commission slot I have available, I will then email you an invoice for a 50% deposit on the commission.

The deposit will secure your commission slot. I must operate on a non refundable deposit policy, as you are booking a space in my calendar that could be used by someone else. Portraits are drawn in order of deposit paid, not order of inquiry.

*Deposits are non refundable unless there is a life altering event that causes me to not be able to complete your portrait.*

3.) Mock Up Creation

As it gets closer to starting on your commission, I will reach out to you via email with a variety of different digital mockups of your commission using the photos you provided me. These mockups will show different background color choices and different compositions, so that you can approve one before I start the drawing process.

4.) Commission Completion & Shipping

Once your portrait is complete, I will email you a high-quality photograph of it to ensure you are happy with the final product. I can then make any last-minute alterations that you might want.

When you are happy with it, the final balance + shipping cost of the commission will be due. After I receive the final payment, I will then ship it to you in a very carefully packaged box.

Shipping varies depending on the size of the portrait; if you would like to know the shipping price for a certain size please ask in your email! Thank you!
